Bill Kaffenberger will headline the July Showcase with David Orcutt opening
Bill Kaffenberger
Bill grew up in Northern Virginia and is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. He first picked up the acoustic guitar and started writing songs at the age of 14. He loved the jingle jangle folk rock sounds of The Byrds as well as artists like the Loving Spoonful, Peter Paul and Mary, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. To this day, Bill incorporates these lyrical styles and musical sounds in well over 100 original compositions and recordings available on the streaming services. Besides his solo work, Bill has also performed in local Richmond groups THE TOTALLY UNREHEARSED BAND and THE HULLABALOOS. Accompanying Bill on guitar is local Richmond musician DUANE HORST.

The long and winding road has had a few curves but I managed to get through them. As a result of my missteps I ended up in places I had no intention of visiting and with people I never intended to meet.
However the education of one’s life can comes in many forms……but there is still one essential requirement in whatever form it takes…. Willingness to listen…. Not just hear. Grateful to have wandered on and off the path that was designed for me….and grateful to have experienced an undirected life and a directed one.
My failures are my greatest assets ….. I am sure where not to go. My songs will tell you about them.
A vagabond volunteer for the last 3 years doing service work to give back. I am not your “average fruit “……….take a bite…..you’ll see.
