HotWheels Bike Ride (parents & kids)

To celebrate the Indy 500 that happens Mem Day Weekend, I will have several HotWheels track layouts in place in parking spots at the Union Pike Cardinal Greenway Trailhead. Bring your favorite HotWheels car and race it. There will be free cars for first 25 kids who ride their bikes to Union Pike’s CG Trailhead.

Places from which to park&ride. The HotWheels event on Cardinal Greenway is reached safely from many other CG trail heads. Close by are New Industries Rd lot from North and Springwood Park switchback lot from South, a little farther points are N 3rd& ND St. lot, and Tingler Rd lot, a farther distance is the Webster Rd Lot. Event ends at 6:30 so you can ride back to your car or home if you did not first drive in and unload at a nearby trailhead. If actively raining 2 hours prior, forecasted to rain during and an hour afterwards, event will be canceled

By the way, on the actual race day in Indy please know there is a “Bike to 500” ride. See Info at the Bike Indianapolis website. Please watch video from years prior. The ride is early race day morning and people watch over your as you attend race!
