Odeiwin Presents: The spirit of Lacrosse, the Creators Game.

As part of the Cultural Workshop Series at the Expo, join us for a powerful session exploring Lacrosse, also known as The Creator’s Game — a sacred sport gifted to the people. Often referred to as Canada’s national sport, Lacrosse is far more than just a game; it is a ceremony, a medicine, and a way of life for many Indigenous communities.

This interactive workshop will share teachings and stories that speak to the spiritual origins, cultural significance, and communal role of Lacrosse. Participants will learn about the game’s roots, the values it carries, and the traditional teachings that surround it — from its role in healing and conflict resolution to the ways it brings communities together across generations.

We are honoured to be joined by a community member from Six Nations, who will share lived experiences, ancestral knowledge, and the importance of Lacrosse in their life and Nation. This is a chance to listen, learn, and connect with the deeper meaning behind the game — its spirit, purpose, and legacy.
