This hands-on, outdoor class is designed for absolute beginners who want to dive into the world of fiber arts—starting right at the source.

In this one-day immersive class, you'll learn:

✨ What to look for in different types of fleece
✨ How to skirt and clean a raw fleece (That's right - hands on!)
✨ The basics of scouring wool properly
✨ An intro to tools: hand carders, drum carders, pickers, drop spindles, and two styles of spinning wheels
✨ How to dye wool and prep it for use
✨ A mini wet felting project with needle felting details
✨ A beginner-friendly demo on drop spindle spinning

💧 We'll provide cold water and plenty of shade—but dress for a day on the farm!
