STORYWRITERS is a group of likeminded authors who write in a variety of genres, including legacy, short stories, fiction and historical fiction, non-fiction, poetry, children’s books and blogs. They meet on the second Monday of each month at the Library from 1:15-2:45, except as noted during library closures.
Our programs include a theme for the month with a handout of writing tips. We have had several speakers who are authors of mystery novels, adventure stories, a college professor, and a poet. An important part of our meetings includes Read Around where we share a homework assignment or our current writing project. As we challenge each writer to submit their work to a contest or publisher, we celebrate their success or even a rejection. As writing enthusiasts, we meet to encourage and offer hope as we explore possibilities and adventures that come through writing. Everyone has a story. Come share yours.
