A Heritage Garden For Every Space– Container Gardening with Native Plants

Join the Heritage Garden Program to learn about container gardening for pollinators with native plants! Together, we’ll learn the basics of what to expect when gardening with native plants and how even the smallest spaces can have a huge impact on supporting pollinators while conserving water. We’ll learn what native species do well in planters, what to expect in terms of maintenance and then we’ll put our skills to the test by planting two demo planters in front of the Tri Cities Food Coop All are welcome to this free event!

When: Saturday May 10th 11 AM-12:30 PM
Where: Tri Cities Food Coop – 1420 Jadwin Ave in Richland
What to bring: Gardening gloves and a hand trowel. Don’t have them? Fret not! We’ll have some on hand to borrow. We will be outdoors for a portion of this event so dress for the weather.

The Heritage Garden Program is a free service offered through the Benton + Franklin Conservation Districts dedicated to helping residents create water-wise landscapes and gardens that incorporate native plants of Washington State.
