Good News!
We've added one more Welding Workshop for the 1925 Season!
ONE SPOT LEFT!
OCTOBER 18 and 19
Classes: Saturday 9:00-4:00 and
Sunday 8:00-3:00
Workshops are limited to 5 participants in order to provide plenty of one-on-one time with your instructor, Kate Clausius. Kate has an extensive knowledge of arc welding through her studies at Madison College, working as a high school welding teacher, creating in her own home studio, and instructing for years at Flying Cat Art Studio. Kate will meet you where you are---whether you have some or no welding experience. Most participants have never welded before.
We use arc welders and mild steel (a magnet sticks to it). Participants may wish to bring pieces to weld plus we will take a 'field trip' to a local salvage yard to purchase interesting shaped pieces on Saturday morning. This is a class to let your inner artist flow but previous art training is definitely not necessary! You will leave with several sculptures plus the knowledge of how to weld.
All welding equipment, supplies, and safety equipment are provided. Metal pieces (25 cents a pound) , and meals are an extra cost to the participant.
Fee is $225 for the two day workshops. Gift Certificates in an denomination are available. Comment below, PM me or call (608) 553-2631 to reserve your spot in this fun, hands-on learning experience. In order to be included in the workshop, payment is due one week from the date of reserving your spot.
