Sew Fun 101!

Let’s get back to basics! Whether you’re brand new to sewing or just need a refresher, this class introduces the fundamental principles every sewist should know – like seams, hems, darts, pressing, and clean finishing. You’ll also learn how to read a simple pattern, understand fabric grain, and set up your machine for success.

In class, bring a simple project that you would like to complete and sit and sew with Sherry. If you need help selecting a beginning pattern, call Stitchhouse to schedule a short 1-on-1 with Sherry, where you will go over pattern and fabric selection. If you would like to bring an item to upcycle or a thrifted item that needs alterations, this is the place to do it.

Perfect for: Anyone looking to build a solid foundation in garment or home sewing – no experience necessary!
