“Henna & History: Designs of Democracy

Activity Details

Participants will be taught the basics of henna paste preparation and application. The facilitator will introduce symbols and designs that represent different civic values and democratic principles.

As the henna dries, a discussion will be facilitated about the symbols used in their designs and what these symbols represent in the context of democracy and civil rights. Participants will be encouraged to share stories or historical facts related to civic engagement that resonate with them, linking personal expression with broader societal impacts.
