🍂 After the Birthquake – October Gathering
Theme: Harvesting Strength
📅 Date: Wednesday, October 15, 2025
🕕 Time: 6:00 PM
📍 Location: The Hilgermann Center, 25 South Brown St, Rhinelander, WI
After the Birthquake is a peer-led support group for those who have experienced complications or trauma during pregnancy, birth, or postpartum. We gather to share, connect, and remind one another that healing is possible.
This month’s theme, Harvesting Strength, invites us to reflect on the inner resilience we’ve grown through life’s challenges.
✨ What to Expect:
• Warm drinks & seasonal treats 🍎☕
• Mini pumpkin decorating craft 🎃
• Conversation & writing activity on strength 🌾
• Group advocacy project to share our voices beyond the room 🕊️
Whether you’re coming to reflect, to create, or simply to be surrounded by supportive community, there’s a place for you here.
📝Group Guidelines
This group is open to anyone who resonates with the experience of birth, pregnancy, or postpartum that left a lasting mark - whether through trauma, loss, medical complications, or unmet expectations.
We ask each participant to sign a short agreement upon attending to help protect the emotional safety of everyone present. Due to the sensitive nature of what's shared, anyone who cannot honor these group boundaries may not be invited back.
👶Children and Babies
Babies are always welcome- we know they often just need to stay close. However, due to the nature of our conversations and the need for a focused space, older children are not able to attend. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and supportive environment for all.
💡Please Note
This is a peer-led, grassroots support group - not a therapy group. I'm not a licensed therapist, just a fellow mom who's walked through birth trauma and is passionate about creating a space for reflection and connection.
