Event rules:
Safety First!
Drivers will perform their own tech and are required to sign and turn in a waiver before they are allowed to drift. Wrist bands should be worn on the left wrist so we can see them as you sit in grid. Our team will also be scanning the cars as the day goes on and will notify you if we see anything out of the ordinary. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask us! We will be more than happy to help you.
-Helmet: SNELL SA2020 or newer required for all drivers. Absolutely no bicycle helmets, dirtbike helmet, or moped helmet. If your helmet does not meet the standard, or you simply don’t have one, you can rent one from us for $20 a day so long as there is one available that fits correctly.
-Seat & Harness:
OEM seat & belt in good condition, or fixed back bucket seat with proper mounts, or properly mounted harness. 3,4, and 5 point harness are acceptable as long as they are properly mounted and secure.
-Battery: Securely mounted, no zip ties or bungee cords. If relocated, must be in a sealed box with a vent. Positive battery terminal needs to be wrapped with electrical tape if the battery is not covered.
-Fire Extinguisher: Strongly recommended. Must be metal-cased, securely mounted, and easily accessible.
-Lug Nuts: All present and properly torqued. No missing studs or broken threads.
-Tires: no drifting on wires. If we see sparks flying or wires exposed, you will be black flagged and asked to change to a new set before you resume drifting.
-No fluids leaking. (Coolant, oil, water, etc.)
-Passengers: You are allowed to take passengers with you on track, we encourage it to inspire new drivers! However, you must instruct them of a few things. Tell them to keep their hands inside your car, especially if you are tandeming! You must instruct them NOT to grab your gear shift, hand brake, or your hydro at any time. Instead, show them where they can hold on. In case of collision, make sure they know to stay in the car until instructed to get out when it’s safe. In case of fire, they must be able to crawl over your trans tunnel and exit driver side if necessary. Instruct passengers on where your fire extinguisher is located and how to use it. They may save your car and your life!
-Veteran drivers: All of you know these rules, tips, and knowledge as well as us. The beauty of our community is how we have all grown together and become close through the struggles and victories of drifting! Please, continue to help each other out! Especially the new comers! We want to see our community grow and show others why we love our sport and its people so much. Just keep doing what you’re doing. We love you for it!
Pro Tip: Don’t bring a sketchy car please. Drift missiles are sick, but if it’s unsafe then don’t bring it. Inspecting your car is to keep yourself and others safe so we can all keep drifting. Please respect the rules and the venue. We are lucky to have a place to drift so let’s treat it with respect.
