About the event
Growing Up Online: Empowering Parents & Carers in the Digital Age with Susan McLean
Parents, caregivers and other adults within our community are invited to join us for a powerful and eye-opening session with Susan McLean, Australia’s foremost voice on cybersafety and young people. With her no-nonsense approach and unmatched expertise, Susan will deliver a reality check on the digital world our children are navigating - whether we know it or not.
This essential event is designed for all parents and carers who want to feel more confident, informed, and equipped to support their children in staying safe online.
This session will cover the positives of technology, alongside the critical risks every parent needs to understand such as online grooming, cyberbullying, sextortion, AI-generated images, problematic gaming & exposure to harmful content. Susan will provide practical strategies to help your children stay safe and thrive online.
