What do strict recycling rules, struggles with social cues, heartbreak, and national stereotypes have in common? For Icelandic comedian Árni Guðmundsson, they were all part of life in Switzerland - and great material for a comedy show.

Swisslandic traces Árni’s attempt to build a life abroad: moving for a relationship, finding himself unexpectedly single, and trying to make sense of it all through stand-up. What began as a way to stay sane in a foreign country quickly became a calling, as Árni stepped onto comedy stages across Switzerland, navigating cultural gaps both on and off the mic. The show digs into the frustrations of job hunting, the awkward reality of dating, and the quiet pressure of trying to feel at home in a place that never quite feels yours.

Now back in Iceland, Árni looks back with sharper wit, darker humor, and the kind of insight you only earn by falling flat on your face, on stage and off.
