Líkami is an instrumental power trio from Reykjavík. Since their formation in 2022, the band has been here to emBODY a vast-range vision of expressive creation with fresh yet ancient tastes and colors. post-music for the post-truth era. They infuse noise experimentation with greasy melodic hooks; Icelandic glacial post-rock with oriental scales; garage attitude topped with Latin grooves and math-rockish odd time signatures, delivered with exquisitely brave stage charisma.
Originally conceived in freestyle jam sessions using wordless telecommunication, Líkami’s material is currently being crystallized and mixed into a debut LP.
The band maintains a constant stage presence in the local scene, having played successfully at festivals and events such as Iceland Airwaves off-venues, Norðanpaunk, Elskum Plötubúðir, Jack Rock and more.
