We invite you to share a journey through the soundscapes of the Andean and Amazonian traditions.
Music has always been a vehicle for spiritual connection with nature. Musical instruments have been a part of life since the beginning of most ancient cultures. Voices take shape through the deep song of the earth, and the elements invite us to delve into ourselves, to look, listen, and feel.
The antaras, pututos, quenas, maracas, shakapas, ocarinas, and more will sing for you in this blessed land of Iceland.
"Since I was a child, I have had the opportunity to hike through the Andes and the Amazon of my homeland (Peru), listening to the profound silence of the Andean mountain range on its vast journey to the coasts and the sea. This silence is sometimes interrupted by thunder, the playing of flutes, and the songs of farmers working the land, traditional ceremonies, and the stories and memories of indigenous peoples.
The immensity of the Amazon rainforest has always awed me, its life force and purest expression of creation. Also, the connection with communities that found in this hostile and fascinating territory the place where, with vision, patience, discipline, and humility, they walked, guided by the master plants, to learn to live in harmony with Mother Nature, with our own nature."
