Ungir Umhverfissinnar bjóða til fræðslu- og vinnustofu um framtíð hafsins ~ fyrir ungt fólk á aldrinum 15-35 ára, í Reykjavík laugardaginn 7. júní ! Stiklað verður á stóru um þær áskoranir sem okkar kynslóð stendur frammi fyrir, en fyrst og fremst verður tíminn nýttur í að líta fram á við og teikna upp lausnir saman. Vinnustofan verður haldin á Litla-torgi Háskóla Íslands.

Ungt fólk af Suðurlandi og Suðurnesjum er sérstaklega hvatt til að mæta og bjóða UU ferðastyrk fyrir þau sem koma lengra að en 10 km, sem og styrk fyrir gistikostnaði þeirra sem ekki hafa tækifæri til að ferðast samdægurs. Boðið verður upp á hádegismat frá Hámu þátttakendum að kostnaðarlausu.
Vinnustofan er frábært tækifæri fyrir ungt fólk að láta rödd sína heyrast og ræða málin með öðrum sem vilja hafa áhrif á framtíð hafsins umhverfis Ísland. Niðurstöður málþingsins verða birtar viðkomandi ráðherrum á fundi með Ungum Umhverfissinnum í haust.
Verkefnið er styrkt af Erasmus+ og er vinnustofan í Reykjavík önnur af fjórum í fundarröð Ungra umhverfissinna um landið, en fyrsta vinnustofan er á Ísafirði 17. maí.

A DROP IN THE OCEAN ~ the Icelandic Young Environmentalists' workshop in the South
The Icelandic Young Environmentalists invite young people, aged 15-35, to a workshop about the future of the Arctic ocean ~ Saturday June 7th in Reykjavík. We will briefly address the biggest challenges our generation is facing, but first and foremost we will draw our attention towards the solutions. The event will be held in Litla-torg at the University of Iceland.

Young people from the South and Reykjanes are especially encouraged to join and for that UU are offering travel grants for those coming from more than 10 km away, as well as grants for accommodation for those unable to travel the same day. Vegan lunch from Háma is provided for all participants.
The workshop is a great opportunity for young people to make their voices heard and engage in discussion with others who want to influence the future of the ocean around Iceland. The outcomes of the workshop will be presented to the relevant ministers at meetings with the Young Environmentalists in the fall.
The project is supported by Erasmus+ and the workshop in Reykjavík is the second of four meetings hosted by the Icelandic Young Environmentalists around the country, with the first being in Ísafjörður on May 17th.
