The trip will include many geological attractions, nature wonders and historic sites in the South of Iceland. Among others, we will be visiting a popular Golden Circle (The Þingvellir National Park and Rift Valley, waterfall Gullfoss, and The Great Geyser geothermal hot spring area); an archaeological Viking site Stöng dating back to the 10th century; Haifoss waterfall, the 3rd highest waterfall in Iceland; Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach renowned for its towering basalt columns, located along the cliffs of Reynisfall mountain; Sólheimajökull glacier; Lava Centre - high-tech educational exhibition about the volcanic activities in Iceland as well as earthquakes and the continues creation of Iceland over millions of years; The Krýsuvík Geothermal Area with its mud pots, hot springs, steaming vents, and multi coloured mineral deposits; the Blue Lagoon (for a short stop to look at milky blue water with a high silica content); a natural history museum Perlan which houses a planetarium with a Northern Lights show called Áróra, an ice cave, which is 100 meters long and is built from around 400 tons of ice, snow, and ash, Lava Show, and many other geological attractions.

Approximate price: £1400 per person, based on two people sharing a double or twin room (single supplement - £284)
Included: Flights between LHR and KEF with Icelandair, transfers between hotel and airport, 5 nights’ accommodation at FH Baron Hotel in Reykjavik (on Bed & Breakfast basis), transport to the localities.
