Mountain Pride celebrates the 2SLGBTQIA+ community of Revelstoke through a weekend-long, family-friendly event that focuses on queer culture through mountain sports and artistic expression. The goal of this event is to help build a community that is supportive of inclusion and diversity in Revelstoke, reducing stigma for the queer community, and provides an opportunity for raising awareness and providing education for the general public about allyship and queer identities.
June 28:
Mountain Academy - 8am-4pm
Mountain Academy is a one day summer program that is run in conjunction with Mountain Pride. This event is an annual summer "academy" where people meet and celebrate their mountain sports and mountain culture. We offer several introductory courses including intro to hiking, trail running, rock climbing, mountain biking and white water kayaking.
The program is open to 2SLGBTQ+ folks and allies from age 15 years+, and there are up to 65 spots available. All sports are offered at introductory level, with a possibility for intermediate groups based on participant abilities. No previous experience in the activity is required. Every activity is offered as a “challenge by choice”, accessible to most bodies and paced by the participant's needs. The paddling course is run in conjunction with the Revelstoke Paddling Association. The mountain biking course is run in partnership with Shred Sisters.
REVY.Live Outside - 6:30pm-9pm

REVY.Live Outside is a summer-long music festival featuring live performances every evening in July and August at Grizzly Plaza in downtown Revelstoke. The event showcases artists from British Columbia, across Canada, and worldwide, covering genres like indie, folk, rock, country, reggae, roots, blues, and more. REVY.Live Outside is friendly and laid-back and open to all ages. We look forward to seeing you there!
June 29: Queer Village - FREE & All Ages
Queer Village at Kovach Park hosted by Open Mountains and Arts Revelstoke featuring yoga in the park, local musical acts, art stations, artisan market, food vendors, and a skatepark meetup.
