On Saturday the 10th of may, At the Harworth Pavilion Sports Ground we will welcome you to Bridons 10th competitive Cup Final.
The 10 previous finals have been in the Gainsborough District League (4 finals), Midlands’s Amateur Alliance, Doncaster District League (2 finals), one in the Nottinghamshire County Cup and 1 in the Gainsborough Sunday Legaue.
What makes this cup final so special is where Bridon Saturday team have come from. Season 2023/24 Bridon finished bottom of the league with 1 draw and 1 win (4 points) but despite the struggles the lads have stuck together and transformed their fortunes by working hard and believing in their ability which has resulted in the cureent season Bridon finishing 4th in the league and earning a place in this year's Doncaster & District Saturday Knockout final.
In 2005/6 I was unveiled as the new Hop Pole manager, I renamed and founded Bridon AFC the season after, over 20 seasons ago. I have had some really talented players and teams come through the ranks but this group of players are arguably one of the best spirited and apllicated playes I have managed.
For these players to become one of the best teams, they now need to come together and add this honour to their Clubs honours list.
