Community Meeting on Dunn Landfill

WHY:
After approving the landfill’s permit, DEC promised to listen to the community about monitoring of the Dunn Landfill. REC has invited the DEC to speak at this meeting to begin this conversation. Additional topics covered:

-How the permit was approved, what is still missing from it, and what comes next
-How to close the ‘leachate loophole’ Dunn uses to pollute the Hudson River
-Impacts of landfill PFAs on air and water quality
