About this Event

Workshop: Unlocking Student Voice: Integrating AI, Resilience, and Truckee Meadows Science

Duration: One-Hour (In-Person, Free)

This free, one-hour professional development workshop introduces the "Green Voice Educator with AI," a scalable, practical teaching methodology designed for K-12 educators across the Truckee Meadows region. The program aims to transform basic science education by integrating it with student wellness and effective communication practices for immediate use in your classroom.

Learn how to use local ecology—from the Truckee River watershed to high desert plant life—as a framework for building emotional resilience and confidence. We introduce a structured public speaking methodology for science interpretation, guiding students to creatively communicate natural history through projects like ecology play writing, ten-minute assembly speeches, and local blogging. You will review our adaptive AI platform, which acts as a responsive tool for teachers, providing real-time curriculum scaffolding and communication rubrics.
