Join us this Fall for the Little Chefs cooking series, hosted by Urban Roots! Designed for young, picky eaters, our engaging workshops will delight children while teaching them to love healthy, delicious food.
👩👧👦 Who: Pre-K chefs ages 2-4 and children ages 5-13 (accompanied by parents/guardians)
📅 When: Saturdays this Fall - September 20, October 25, and November 15
🕒 10 am to 12:30 pm
🍽️ What: Hands-on cooking workshops split into age-appropriate groups
Each session includes:

Let's level up your little chef's skills in the kitchen! In this workshop we'll dive right into knife skills by making farm fresh personal pizzas in our wood fired oven. Urban Roots staff will be your sous chefs as your child thrives in the kitchen
🫓 𝗢𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟮𝟱: 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀: 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘀
Adding vegetables into our meals can be tricky for all of us! In this workshop your little chef will be encouraged to try new foods by making homemade falafel and veggie pita pockets! Urban Roots staff will share helpful tips and tricks for adding and introducing a rainbow of foods even for your pickiest eater!
🥧 𝗡𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟭𝟱: 𝗕𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗶𝘁 '𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗶𝘁: 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶 𝗣𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝘀
Your little chef will become Star Baker in this month’s workshop! We’ll explore measuring and reading a recipe while we bake a miniature pumpkin pie. Urban Roots staff will guide you through this classic recipe, offering helpful tips for baking with young learners.
