Footprints may not last long on the beach, but these sands hold hundreds of years of stories. Tragic shipwrecks, visits by pirates and rum runners, heroic rescues of the Life-Saving Service, secret weapons tests, and more: our shore has seen it all. That's why this year's sandcastle contest theme is "Storied Sands." Tell us a story with your creation! Register day of at Tower Road Oceanside. Free to sign up with paid park admission.
