𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 are working together to deliver a new 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 for 2026, starting with our 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡.
This programme is designed to help residents, businesses, and community organisations better understand local flood risk; what causes flooding, which areas are most at risk, and how flooding can affect homes, services, and infrastructure. We’ll also share practical, guidance on how to prepare for flooding and how to get involved in supporting your community.
These sessions are also a great opportunity to learn more about becoming a volunteer Flood Warden. Flood Wardens play a vital role acting as the eyes and ears on the ground and helping their community respond effectively. Training and support are provided, and there are a variety of ways people can get involved.
