This event is two-fold:
A ride to Deception Pass, the down Whidbey Island
A Jet-Boat Tour of Deception Pass
There are limited spots available on the boat tour, but it just inspired this trip, not the trip in and of itself. You are promised a scenic and mostly remote route full of some of my favorite twisties through Tulip Country and back down Whidbey Island.
Ride Info:
We will meet in the parking lot between Las Margaritas and O'Reilly Auto Parts off Redmond Way. Arrive gassed up and ready to go. Kickstands up at 9:30am. Sorry, can’t delay. We have to arrive at Deception Pass by 12:30pm.
Route 1: We’ll be taking a mix of scenic backroads and freeways to Deception Pass.
Route 2: After the boat tour at 1pm (returns by 2pm) we will head down Whidbey Island.
I’m planning to have a late lunch in the area after the boat tour with the entire tour group and bikers. More details to come.
Please note: Again the boat tour is optional – just the inspiration for the ride. So if you miss the boat tour, come for the ride and hang out (or ride around) while we are on the tour. It’s a great scenic ride which I’ve done several times this year already.
Now for those who’ve ridden Whidbey Island, how many times have you gone over this bridge wondering what it would be like to take a boat cruise through Deception Pass? Well now here's a chance!
Steps to sign up for the boat tour:
Our tour will be on Aug 8th at 1pm and the group hold is under Meetup/Claudette. We will arrive by 12:30pm. Sorry the later spots were already booked, so there goes an 11am start time.
