Kids’ Art Workshop: Self-Portraits Inspired by the Masters

As part of VALA’s youth art exhibit, "Self-Portraits in Action," young artists are invited to explore identity and imagination through a hands-on mixed media workshop.

We’ll take inspiration from famous self-portraits throughout art history, discovering how artists expressed who they are — and how we can do the same.

Children will experiment with color, line, and expression to make portraits that reflect their inner world.

All materials provided. Parent supervision required. Drop-in participation welcome!

NOTE: Adults are welcome to sit and draw if they wish!
