While not technically ‘away’ we will stray from our usual Bayview routes to check out the upcoming Bayview Blast course (with a few amendments to avoid the killer hills). A stress-free and fun exploration of the race! NOTE: This is a slightly longer ride and will start from the MAIN ENTRANCE at GERMAN CHURCH ROAD, not on Kidd Street.
Suitable for: 🟢 🔵 Adventurous beginner riders and above - comfortable with green and blue trails. Ride will be about 19-20km in length and will be tailored to the level of riders in the group, so don’t feel you’ll be holding others back. However, the ride is not suitable for absolute beginners.
Location: Bayview Conservation Area has some hills and some flowy trails with most being rooty, winding, bushy trails that have more natural than created features. It's a beautiful and diverse natural environment.
Time: Rollout is 1.30pm sharp - so please be ready a few minutes earlier for a pre-ride briefing.
Bring: Auscycling Insurance (see below for more details), water/electrolytes, snacks, sunscreen, tools, helmet, capable MTB and your sense of humour 🤣.
