Lachlan’s story:
Little Lachlan was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (a congenital heart condition) shortly after birth requiring open heart surgery. After thinking the hard part was over, he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare type of cancer. Complicated by lengthy hospital stays away from family, dialysis, frequent blood transfusions, surgeries, etc., the Sutton family has faced more in a few months than anyone should have to endure in a lifetime. They’ve been separated from one another as they have two other children, Kieran and Declan, at home. This softball tournament is to help with medical expenses, but also just to help navigate this time in their lives. Lachlan’s hospitalizations have required both Kassie and Derik to miss work. They frequently travel separately to Riley Children’s Hospital to stay with Lachlan while one of them is at home with the other boys. Please come out and support this amazing family! Any and all support is welcome. ❤️
