The Redhill Dream Cars Cruise if you know, you know. If you don’t, well, let’s fix that.
This is THE biggest and most unapologetically old school cruise in the UK. Imagine an entire town taken over by classic American Cars, Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, and Customs. Every street, every car park, every available space packed with something cool. V8's burbling, superchargers whining, the air thick with the scent of gasoline and burnt rubber. The crowds turn out in force, cameras flashing, kids waving, the whole place buzzing.
If you’re into chrome laden American Classics, stunning Hot Rods, Detroit Muscle & Customs Creations, Resto Mods, Rat Rods, Lowriders, or anything else with style and soul, you need to be there. This event gets bigger and busier every year, and if you’ve never been, now’s your chance to do it properly with a full on northern convoy.
The Northern Road Trip – Because Everything’s Better in a Convoy.
Taking an Old Car on a long journey can be daunting, but that’s the beauty of rolling in a group. If something goes wrong, there’s a good chance someone's got the tools or the know how to get you rolling again. Plus, just imagine the sight of a convoy of classics heading south together.
We’re reaching out to The Leeds Cruise, Highway 63, Steel City Cruisers, Rainy City Cruisers, Don Valley Cruisers, East Coast Classics and anyone else up North who’s up for a proper road trip.
The Plan...
Day One – Saturday 16th August.
We’ll set off early from Leeds, Hull, and Manchester, picking up more cruisers as we go (meet points (TBC). No rush, no stress, we’ll drive at a steady comfortable pace that suits everyone.
Breakfast Stop: The Red Lion Truckstop, Northampton (about 9 AM). Proper grub at a decent price and a good meeting point for those joining from the North West.
Fuel Stops: Planned around the smallest tanks in the group, no one gets left behind.
Yes, we’ll have to take on the M25 (no way around it), but we’ll deal with it. Expect to hit Redhill early afternoon.
Arrival – Dream Cars HQ BBQ.
We’ve been personally invited to the pre-cruise BBQ at Dream Cars HQ. Expect a large number of classic cars parked up. Food, drinks, music, and a chance to chat with like minded enthusiasts. A peek inside their incredible collection of rare American classics.
The Main Event – The Redhill Cruise.
This is where it gets serious. By 5pm, the town is packed, the roads are lined with spectators, and the action kicks off.
Photographers, YouTubers, and Vloggers will be out in force, waiting to capture the best cars rolling through.
Parking is tight, the main car parks will fill fast, and kerb side spaces will be prime real estate.
The cruise route runs in both directions, and at peak times, expect bumper to bumper madness, but that’s all part of the experience.
This goes on well into the night. Tons of cars. Tons of people. Unreal atmosphere.
Day Two – Sunday 17th August - Recovery Meet.
Late morning cruise to Krispy Kreme, New Malden, a chilled out meet, a chance to grab a coffee, a doughnut, and re-live the night before.
Optional stop at the legendary Ace Café, because if you’re that close, why not?
The Journey Home.
We’ll start heading back north around lunchtime, with people peeling off as we go.
Where to Stay?
You’ll need to book your own hotel. We’ve used the Travelodge – Redstone Hill before which is located in the centre of it all.

Prices vary, but right now, it’s about £120 per night with free cancellation and early booking is recommended.
The Cost of the Ride
Yes, running a V8 on a 500 mile round trip isn’t cheap. But this isn’t just any weekend, it’s the ultimate summer road trip.
You’ll love it. You’ll remember it. And you’ll want to do it again next year.
