October 10th is World Homeless Day.
To mark this important day, our Executive Director/CEO, Jonathan Anderson, will spend 24 hours straight on a bench—from Oct. 9 at noon to Oct. 10 at noon. Eating, sleeping, and talking homelessness. All live streamed.
Why are we doing this ? Because homelessness, addiction, and mental illness are tough issues that need real conversations—not shouting matches, not canned talking points, not hidden agendas, not politicking.
Anyone can join him: a student, business owner, community leader, Joe Q. Citizen or someone experiencing homelessness who may feel marginalized or even ignored. Just sit down. Talk.
They don’t have to see eye to eye. They just need to be respectful in their disagreement. Because that’s what a conversation is: a polite dialogue, not a scathing monologue. One where we can all learn from each other.
You can also tune in to our live stream and join the chat. Watch. Listen. Maybe even discover new solutions as you engage with other caring and passionate people.
👉 Mark your calendar: Oct. 9 at 12 p.m. Live on our website. It will be streamed both on Facebook and YouTube. Engage with the chat and ask your questions for Jonathan to answer.
