Join us for the City of Redding’s Community Creek Cleanup! 🌿 Beautify Shasta will be there lending a hand, and it’s the perfect chance to get your steps in for Healthy Shasta’s Walktober 🚶♀️🚶 while helping keep our community clean. One event, three wins: fresh air, cleaner spaces, and steps toward your health goals! 💪♻️
Location: Meet adjacent to the main parking area at 1600 Bechelli Lane
Note: Parking is limited. Please prioritize carpooling.
Join fellow community members for a morning of hands-on stewardship at Turtle Bay East, a vital open space along the Sacramento River. This year’s Community Creek Cleanup is an opportunity to give back to a landscape we all enjoy—especially those who explore it with canine companions.
Volunteer Activities Include:
Removing trash and debris
Light invasive vegetation clearing
What to Bring:
Closed-toe shoes (required)
Long pants and sun protection
Reusable water bottle
Personal gloves or tools if preferred (supplies will also be provided)
All tools and gloves will be available for volunteers; however, feel free to bring any additional gear that helps you feel comfortable. Whether you have 30 minutes or the full four hours, your time and energy will make a meaningful impact on the health and beauty of this natural area. Make a difference in a single morning—see you there.
IMPORTANT: We strongly encourage all volunteers to come prepared with a signed copy of the waiver. Any volunteers under the age of 18 are REQUIRED to bring a waiver that has been signed by a parent or guardian before the event day, so plan accordingly.
