Between the Tides, Redcar & Cleveland’s is a flagship outdoor festival for children, young people and families.
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 August 🌞🌊👨👩👧👦
Join us as part of this fantastic FREE weekend of adventure and exploration for children and their grown-ups.
The festival will take place at Kirkleatham Museum & Grounds and Kirkleatham Walled Garden and will feature an exciting mix of internationally renowned outdoor theatre, puppetry, circus, dance, storytelling and live music.
Shows include:
• Babylon Gamelan – an incredible 4 metre high mechanical sound sculpture that invites you to pull, push, strum and drum. Forget ‘Don’t Touch’ – this is all about making as much noise as you can!
• Raggle Taggle Art’s celebration of Northern working-class culture Betty Brownbags - a spectacular interactive show featuring live music, clog dancing, singing and even some sword fighting!
• The Rainbow Butterfly by Elsa Mesma - a beautiful display of aerial circus with dynamic contemporary and Hip Hop dance.
• The Giants Picnic. Tuck in (under the covers) of a super-sized sandwich. Roll with a sausage and jump through doughnuts.
• Premieres from Tit for Tat, Curious Arts and Society of Strays.
• Wonderful puppet shows from Whippet Up, Lempen Puppet Theatre and HandMade Theatre’s Puppet Farm.
• Magical storytelling inside Talking Bird’s mysterious silver OakMobile
• Incredible acrobatics from HandsDown Circus.
