Community Event – Save the Date
Join us on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, as we welcome Carrol Henderson to the St. James Hotel for an evening that anyone who cares about wildlife, conservation, or the natural world will not want to miss.
For more than fifty years, Carrol served as the first supervisor of the Minnesota DNR Nongame Wildlife Program and became one of the most influential conservation voices in our state. His work helped restore dozens of species, including peregrine falcons, trumpeter swans, and bluebirds. Carrol has written fourteen books, guided countless conservation efforts, and inspired generations to take action for the outdoors. Hearing him speak is something special and inspiring.
Schedule:
5–6 PM – Visit with local conservation organizations in the St. James lobby
6–8 PM – Community Presentation and Book Signing with Carrol Henderson
Carrol’s new book, A National Legacy: Fifty Years of Nongame Conservation in Minnesota, tells the story of how people working together can protect wildlife for decades to come.
