On behalf of Red Wing High School, we would like to invite you to be a part of our Veterans Day events this year. Red Wing High School, Hiawatha Valley Family Beyond the Yellow Ribbon, MN State College Southeast and Red Wing American Legion Post #54 are committed to the honoring of United States Veterans and Servicemembers and we have planned a special assembly on the morning of Friday, November 7, 2025 at 10:00 am in Sonju Gymnasium at RWHS.
This year’s assembly will include music by students from the high school and college, a recognition of our visiting Veterans and Servicemembers and a reception to follow. We will also feature guest speaker Colonel Steve Babcock, United States Army. This commemoration is made possible by the heart and contributions of many in our community and has become a very important tradition to the Red Wing area.
We would be honored if you would consider joining us for these events so as a community we can honor those who have served our country. All veterans, current service members and their guests will have reserved seating on the floor level of the gymnasium.
Guests are asked to enter RWHS through the district office doors (#36) where you will be greeted by students and staff and escorted to our seating area on the gymnasium floor. There is an elevator available for those guests who need it, or the handicap door access is behind the school building. Students will begin seating at 9:55 a.m., so we would appreciate it if we could have our guests of honor seated by that time.
The assembly will run about 1 hour in length with refreshments and cake to follow.
