About the event

Canyon Cornhole League - Every Sunday (July 27 thru Aug 17)
Canyon Cornhole League FAQ

Introduction to tokens:

There are two types tokens, GRAND PRIZE TOKENS (GT) and AWARD TOKENS (AT) .

GT- GRAND PRIZE TOKENS - These tokens can be used to enter games, enter raffles, and issue challenges. The most GT won is also what decides who wins the GRAND PRIZE.

Everyone who participates starts each League Day with 20 GT tokens and that is your shot to go after the Grand Prize by winning other peoples GT tokens through competition.

Your goal is to win as many as you can by the end of the night and turn those in towards your scoring for the
night. If you win other peoples GT and say you turn in 28 GT, then that is your GT score for the night and the next league night will start a new night of scoring.

If you lose all your GT then your GT score for the night would be 0. If you run out of people to challenge for GT, then you can
move on to using AT which are accumulated for other raffles and awards.

AT - AWARD PRIZE TOKENS - These tokens are secondary and can be used for competition, raffles, and qualifying for awards. The only difference between GT and AT, AT does not count
towards your Grand Prize score.

When you have no one else to challenge with GT, you can
receive 20 AT for every $5 donation. This gives you plenty of ammo to build your score for any of our other awards outside the Grand Prize.

How do I get my starting tokens for the night?

Show up to the scoring tent and register. You will fill out your player sheet and decide what level donation you want to participate with, this will decide your starting amount. You will then receive your player score sheet and whatever number of tokens you chose to start with.

You are limited to 20 GT but you can acquire unlimited AT if you run out of GT.
When you are done for the night,
return to the scoring tent and have your scores for the night recorded and that completes scoring for your day. Only your final scores rolls over to be added up.

Any tokens you have will either be used for fun the night of or turned in to counts towards scoring. Every League event
you will start with a new token base for that night’s scoring.

What are all the prizes available:
- Grand Prize (Can be won using GT only)
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd for cornhole (Can be won using GT or AT )
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd, for Bag Tag (Can be won using GT or AT)
- Various achievement awards (Can be won using GT or AT)

I want to wager GT but my opponent only has AT, what do I do?
Acquire AT at the scoring tent. GT can only be wagered against GT and AT can only be wagerd
against AT.

I want to wager AT but my opponent only has GT, what do I do?

Your opponent would need to acquire AT by visiting the scoring tent. AT can only be wagered against AT and GT can only be wagered against GT.

Do I use my GT and AT for wagering in competitions?
Yes. If you would like to challenge someone in any game, simply present them with the challenge and what you want to wager. If they agree, you compete, winner takes all.

Do I use my GT and AT for raffles?
You can. Please remember that while either GT or AT can be used for any game or raffle, ONLY GT can be counted towards the grand prize. So if you are entering Raffles, and there is no token
wager, it would be advisable to use AT so you do not take away from your GT count towards the grand prize.

Do both GT and At count towards my League points?
Yes- they both have value and can win you prizes. When you are done for the night, take your scoring sheet and all tokens to the scoring tent for recording. We will keep your scoring sheet on
file week to week for scoring and records.

Where can I see the points standings?
Results will be posted ON Facebook every week on the event page.

What if someone attempts to cheat?

We are fully aware that it is possible for someone to attempt to game the system unfairly. There are rules in place to ensure that we can make any decision needed to address any attempts at
unfair advantages. Should someone be caught blatantly stealing or cheating the system, you will be given a refund for the night and asked to leave the canyon never to return. In short, we
want everyone to have fun and we will not allow any unfair gaming attempts.

What all can I spend tokens on?
- Raffle entry
- Game competition
- Prizes
- Turn them in to go towards your score

Do I have to turn the tokens in at the end of the night?
Yes. If you do not care about building a score and just want to support the cause by having fun with community friends, spend all your tokens you want for fun and competition.

Can I give my tokens away?
(AT - Yes)
(GT - No)
AT - Yes because there is no limit to how many a person can start with and the aggregation of them cannot be used to skew awards.
GT - No because they are meant to be limited to 20 per person starting and only increase through competition wins. Dumping of these to another person could give them an unfair
advantage.

Do I get any credit for my food purchases?
Yes! Bring your food receipt to the scoring table and it can be traded for tokens in the amount of the receipt shown, in 5 dollar increments. Example: You have a food receipt that is $15.84 -
Bring your receipt to the scoring table and you will get $15 worth of tokens. If you have a receipt that $19.01 - you would receive $15 in tokens. If you have a receipt that is $21 - you would
receive $20 in tokens. We will round up and down to the nearest $5 accordingly.

We have highly trained forensic receipt detectives and any attempts at receipt fraud on any level will be addressed at the time of observation.

It’s tuesday and I found extra tokens in my pocket can I turn them in?
Unfortunately they are null and void. Once scoring is closed for the league night, there are no altering scores without extreme circumstances. The cornhole committee has the final decision
on any situation.

What is UPCA, and what are the donations that are collected used for?
The purpose of the Upper Poudre Canyon Association (UPCA) is to serve the Upper Poudre Canyon community as a charitable and educational organization. In so serving, the association shall raise and disperse funds to projects that benefit the entire
community; work to solve problems particular to the area; and attempt to bring the people of the Upper Poudre Canyon area and others interested into a closer relationship.

The goals of fundraising efforts are to:
1. Directly support our volunteer fire department
2. Educate a. History of the canyon, the community and events b. Availability of resources in the area c. Environmental concerns not only for the community, but for others who use the Upper Poudre Canyon
3. Provide financial assistance as needed to community members

What is the Canyon Cornhole League?
A 5-week community cornhole league designed to bring people together for fun, connection, and a good cause. Play cornhole, and other games to earn tokens, and win prizes. You can donate for the whole season, or per Sunday attended. There is a way
for everyone who wants to show their support to participate.

What is the suggested donation?
Varies. $20 per person covers all 5 weeks of league play and includes access to games, challenges, music, and prizes. Alternatively, you can donate only the days you
participate for $5 each of the days. Your $5 donation gives you access to token earningsand drawings for the night.

How is the league structured?
There’s no strict bracket or division system. This is an open league—players accumulate tokens across the season through a mix of game participation, Bag tag challenges, and fun…even ordering food from the Canyon Grill can earn you tokens that
can be used for waging, raffles etc…

How are points tracked throughout the season?
Tokens are awarded based on wins, participation, and optional side games. Every league night you will check in at the scoring table to get a current score sheet. At the end of the night, you turn it in at the same table with the tokens you have collected.
Everything is logged and updated weekly at the scoring table and will be published weekly on Facebook.

What are the ways to earn points?
Winning cornhole games, participation in side-games, accepting/issuing bag tag challenges, eating at the Canyon Grill. You can even purchase additional award tokens (AT-s) to boost your opportunities to win prizes.

Why are there 2 different types of tokens?
The grand prize tokens (GT’s) can only be wagered against grand prize tokens(GT’s). They are available to those who have donated to a league pass and/or a day pass and are accumulating tokens to win the grand prize. You will receive 20 grand
prize tokens’ (GT’s) at the beginning of each league night, and that is all you are allowed for the day. You cannot purchase more. By allowing this token only for this purpose it eliminates the opportunity for the participants to buy their way to the grand
prize play-off which will be held on the final weekend.

The award tokens (AT’s) can only be wagered against award tokens (AT’s). They can be purchased at any time, 20 ea. for $5.00 and used to wager in bag tag challenges, side games, raffles etc… By accumulating award token’s (Ats), the participant puts themselves in position to earn special awards on awards night such as “The Big Bean Award” for the most award tokens. You can also receive 20 tokens (AT’s) for every $5.00 you spend at the Canyon Grill. This will be rounded down to the nearest $5.00 denomination.

What is the grand prize playoff?
The grand prize playoff will be held on the final night and will be a cornhole game playoff between the top 4 grand prize token holders accumulated over the first 4 weeks of league play. The winner will receive the grand prize Poudre Canyon custom corn hole boards on display at the scoring table.

How do Bag Tag games work?
When you purchase a season pass you will receive your bag tag as part of your player package. Each challenge has simple rules. Some are skill-based, others silly. At the end of the day, it is up to you and the person you challenge. Challenges can be made anytime, anywhere, and can be a challenge of any kind. Examples: Cornhole, any side game, a foot race, trivia, or whatever else you can dream up, safely. Do not engage in any challenges that someone gets hurt.

Who can issue bag tag challenges to who?
Currently bag tag challenges can be issued to anyone from anyone with the following parameters:
Under normal circumstances bag tag challenges cannot be refused. The challenge must be safe and agreed upon by both sides. You can only challenge the same person once per day.
You can challenge any number at any time, once a day.
●Any issues will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Do you win awards for bag tag challenges?
Yes. There is a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize for the most bag tag challenges won.

Why do I need to track cornhole and side game wins and bag tag challenges each week on the score sheet?
There will be a 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd place prize on awards night for the person with the most cornhole game wins. Tie breaker to be the accumulative point differential. This is you track both win/loss and score.

What is Sling-A- Bag Splits the Pot?
Sling-A- Bag Splits the Pot is a game where a weekly winner walks away with a cash prize (1/2 the amount of Sling-A-Bag donations for the night). Sling -a- bags can be picked up for a $4.00 donation per bag at any time prior to 6:30 PM on each league night.
