Hello , Drumming community
This is going to be a long email. So please read to the end.
As some of you may already know. Our mother , Janet Aftanas, has passed away. We will be holding a celebration of life for her at Tara and Ian's property.
This is an open invitation to everyone and anyone that knew our mom. Our mom was and is very loved by the community she created. Let's gather and celebrate the beautiful, caring, loyal and passionate woman we all knew. Please spread the word of moms celebration.
September 20th 2025 @3pm - Whenever we feel we are done.

**A few important notes***
1.We will be doing a potluck/drum circle. So please bring food to share and your instruments
2.We will be selling a reprinted memorial copy of moms Drumming CD for $20. Please bring cash if wanting to purchase
3.It's very important to us to keep our mom alive in spirit. If you could prepare a written story or letter of how you met our mom , favorite story , something funny. We would really appreciate it. I will be making a book composed of all these stories. So Calum and I can read them and cherish how amazing our mom was, many years from now.
4. Please bring your own lawn chair.
Water, tea, coffee to drink. Dress for the weather. We hope to have a fire going.
5. This is a sober event
6. No animals
7. Kids are very welcomed
8. Please, no presents or flowers
9. Please share ALL these details with whomever you invite
