Fundraiser - Navesink River pull-up lunch paddle - Brennans's - Rumson, NJ.

Come join PFH for an out & back tour of the Navesink River for the Swimming River Park to Brennan's Restaurant at the Oceanic Bridge.

About this Event

Come join us for a paddle fundraiser and a pull-push paddle in the Navesink River from the Swimming River County Park east to the Oceanic Bridge for lunch at Brennan's Deli and back all in the same day.

We will meet at 8:00 am and put in by 9:00, taking the tide out and through Red Bank, Rumson, and Fair Haven to the Oceanic Bridge / Park for a pull-out lunch at Brennan's Deli before returning to the put in later that day.

We took this trip last fall and it was a fun experience.

Note: There will be power-craft, jet-skis, and other moving vessels in the waterway. Situational awareness is key.

This Trip Includes:

• Kayak, Paddle, PFD
• $20 voucher / card for Brennan's Deli to cover food costs
• ACA Guide Fee
• ACA trip Insurance
• BYOK are responsible for their own lauch fees

This paddle is for a modearte paddler who can paddle:

• approximately five (5) miles one-way
• in modearte winds and tides
• with acute situational on-water and group awareness
• follow safety instructions

Requirements:

• Boats 14 feet or longer - skeg/rudder prefferred
• NO RECREATIONAL, LIGHTWEIGHT, INFLATABLE, OR FOLDABLE KAYAKS.
• 2 sealed bulkheads (front and rear)
• Reasonable ability to self and rescue assist as needed
• Proper fitting PFD
• Paddle atire for the water and elements

• There is a per-boat fee to launch with the park system
• There is daily fee for single boats and trailers
• Permits are NOT available on-site and must be purchased ahead of time.

Please register your kayak with the Monmouth County Park System.

Please apply for / obtain a kayak trailer permit from the park system prior to using the facility.

This is an American Canoe Association (ACA) sactioned event and will be cross-posted on th ACA website.

This trip donation is tax dedicutibe and you will recieve a donation letter within two weeks of the end date of the event.
