Resonance Without Insertion: Tuning Forks, the Eight Principles & Sensitive Systems in Chinese Medicine Practice
How can tuning forks support patients who are sensitive, energetically depleted, or needle-phobic, while remaining rooted in the classical framework of Chinese medicine?
This unique CPD workshop combines vibrational sound therapy with the Eight Principles of diagnosis and the Eight Extraordinary Vessels, offering new possibilities for working with subtle energetics in clinical practice.
Designed for practitioners who want to expand their treatment tools without compromising depth or tradition, the day includes rich theory, hands-on learning, and practical application of tuning forks on acupuncture points and meridians.
You’ll explore how tuning forks can:
➡️ Provide a non-invasive alternative for patients who struggle with needling
➡️ Activate & regulate constitutional patterns via the 8 Extraordinary Vessels
➡️ Be used according to TCM diagnostic frameworks
➡️ Frameworks including hot/cold, excess/deficiency, yin/yang
➡️ Support emotional regulation, trauma recovery & spiritual integration
Participants will learn:
✅ What tuning forks are & how they work within East Asian medical theory
✅ The difference between weighted vs unweighted & short vs long forks
✅ Techniques for striking & applying forks to the body / over acup needles
✅ How to integrate forks into your practice as a standalone or complementary method
This course includes:
💻 6 hours of pre-recorded videos (theory, treatments & demos)
🏫 A full day of live, practical training at CICM
📚 A take-home workbook for continued reference
Whether you’re looking to treat patients with trauma, build confidence in working beyond the needle, or simply reconnect with the deeper resonances of your medicine, this workshop offers a grounded and inspiring point of entry.
