Night Hike to the Fire Tower

Get your mittens, headlamp, flask, and sense of adventure ready for this end-of-year tradition. We'll gather at our place on Oak Lane in Reading and head up to the Fire Tower via the Mt Penn Preserve hiking trails. (The Pagoda is still gated off due to construction.) The hike will begin promptly at 9 pm! After we return, we'll warm up in the house and then cap things off with a champagne toast at midnight.

It's about a 4-mile hike (round trip), over rocky terrain, with 600+ feet of elevation gain. (Legal disclaimer: Not a Pacer event--hike at your own risk.)
