School holidays can feel long, especially when regular baby and toddler groups pause and routines change. So we’re getting outside together for a relaxed, friendly Welly Walk at Linear Park, open to parents and carers with children of any age.
This isn’t a power walk or an organised session — just a gentle chance to get out of the house, enjoy fresh air, and spend time with other families.
We’ll:
• Stroll through the park and explore the woods
• Play poo sticks and splash in puddles
• Stop at the playgrounds if little legs need a run around
• Enjoy relaxed chats while the children play and explore
The walk is buggy friendly, but can be muddy.
Afterwards, anyone who’d like to can head to the café together for a warm drink and a chat.
The aim is simple: to help reduce holiday loneliness and give families somewhere welcoming to go.
Hayley and Jem will both be there with our own children, so come as you are — muddy boots, babies, big kids, all welcome.
Come along for fresh air, company, and a relaxed morning outdoors — no pressure, just community
