Originates from Joseph Pilates’ method, adapted to the hammock instead of traditional equipment like the Reformer or Cadillac.
Core strength and stability—using the hammock to add resistance or instability.
Controlled, precise movements to target deep stabilising muscles.
Functional strength, posture, and alignment, especially around the spine and joints.
We use Pilates reformer-style exercises using the hammock for assistance or challenge.
The Low Hammock Height Supports Success
Our hammock height is intentionally set low for functional practice,
Close enough to the floor to feel secure, elevated enough to create traction and support—this height allows:
Control without overwhelm
Gradual progress without fear of heights
Ease in entering, exiting, and modifying shapes
Confidence builds because the set-up removes pressure and invites curiosity.
However this definately doesn't mean its any less of a workout!
This is a Pilates workout based in the traditional method that requires precision and detail. Its about getting to know your body- Body/physical literacy as mcuh as it is a workout.
Play Without Performance, Progress Without Push
ENERGYBODi isn’t a studio designed to perform in — it’s designed to exhale in.
Warmth, soft flooring, gentle lighting, and sensory safety create an environment where your body can downshift out of stress mode.
When the nervous system isn’t braced, muscles let go, breath deepens, and stability becomes accessible rather than forced.
