Join us for a morning of fun, connection and rodeo excitement at the Special Rodeo! 🐴
Held at the Central States Fairgrounds, this free, inclusive event welcomes individuals of all ages with disabilities and their families or caregivers to experience the joy of rodeo in a safe, supportive and sensory-friendly environment. From horseback rides to stick horse races, there’s something for everyone—whether you’re riding, roping or just cheering from the sidelines.

• 🐴 Miniature horse activities with Red Horse Healing

A Special Space for All
We’ve created a calm and sensory-friendly area for those who need a quieter environment to relax and recharge. Every detail has been designed with comfort and fun in mind—this is an event for all abilities! 💫
Volunteer and Make a Difference!
We’re looking for amazing volunteers to accompany our participants throughout the event. No rodeo experience is necessary—just a friendly, supportive attitude! You’ll be paired with a participant and help them have the time of their life. Plus, there will be helpers at each activity to ensure everything runs smoothly.
📋 Event Details
• 9:30 a.m. – Registration Open
• 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. – Special Rodeo Activities
• 12 p.m. – Lunch
• Admission: FREE!
• What to Wear: Please wear tennis shoes or boots (no sandals or open-toed shoes, please!)
Who Can Attend?
This event is open to all individuals with disabilities. The arena dirt will be packed to make it easier for both walkers and wheelchairs.
