Don’t Believe A Word I Say is a comedic, heartwarming and truly entertaining one woman show written and performed by Tankiso Mamabolo and directed by Faniswa Yisa. It follows the journey of an awkward 30 something year old woman as she takes the audience through funny, heartbreaking and powerful stories from her childhood as an awkward black girl who just wants to be loved and accepted. With themes like love, loss, identity, family and the failures of Hollywood romantic movies. You think you know where it’s going, but you won’t believe it.
