✨Join us to Preserve, Celebrate & Honor the “Lasting Legacy of Dr. S.G. Knight” during an Open House celebration on Sunday, September 28th from 2:00 - 5:00.✨
🫙TIME CAPSULE CEREMONY @ 3:00🫙- We will be unearthing and revealing the contents of a time capsule that was previously buried on the school grounds in front of the live attendees. Following the unveiling, we will have a brief opportunity for group photographs of any former teachers, staff and student alumni of the school.
The Morrison County Historical Society (MCHS) will be joining us as we actively work to preserve and collect historical artifacts and narratives from your experiences at Dr. Knight. We will also be collecting these items with plans to construct a memorabilia display for the community to cherish and remember the school’s lasting legacy into the future.
*** 📰🎽🏆Bring any HISTORICAL ARTIFACTS you are willing to share or donate to the MCHS - such as news clippings, trophies, photographs, yearbooks, or school clothing items.🎞️📓***
***📝We will have an opportunity for you to provide written documentation and narration of your Dr. Knight memories, stories and anecdotes for preservation within the MCHS 📝***
***🎥We will also have the opportunity to capture and preserve your Dr. Knight experience and narratives during a short filmed digital/audio clip. 🎥***
Refreshments and Live Music will be provided to celebrate the building’s legacy! Areas of the building will (tentatively) be accessible for final touring and revisiting by the public before the building is sold.
