The Ballad of Daphnis & Chloe
Vixen Theatre is part of the 2025 Raleigh Fringe Festival!

Daphnis and Chloe, two young shepherds blossoming into adulthood, find themselves falling victim to a sickness described by those around them as Love. What does Love mean? Why such strange symptoms? Can it be cured? Daphnis’ poetic heart believes Love could be wondrous, but Chloe has been warned Love can only lead to pain and despair. Together, they search for respite. Might they discover there’s something spectacular about love after all? Will it be too late? Inspired by the first romance novel, The Ballad of Daphnis and Chloe entwines the purity of love and the danger it courts.
