Afternoon Boot Camp Workshops - Learn some basics of Carolina Shag with Instructor Ryan Boz.
Ryan Boz is a former Jr. National Shag Team Member, a U.S. Open Swing Dance Champion, choreographer, and national touring competitor.
DOORS OPEN AT 2:40 PM TO REGISTER FOR WORKSHOPS. (No online registration).
WORKSHOPS: We will be offering three, fun and informative workshops starting at 3 pm. Take one, two or all three workshops. No partner or prior experience necessary, very inclusive.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:
3 PM - CAROLINA SHAG FOUNDATIONS: 6 count timing.
WE'LL BE STARTING WITH THE VERY BASICS OF CAROLINA SHAG in this fundamentals workshop. 6 COUNT TIMING. You'll need these foundations if you want to look good on the dance floor, and move on up to more challenging material.
4 PM - LEADER AND FOLLOWER TURNING PATTERNS VARIATIONS : Learn some important leader/follower core patterns in this workshop.
5 PM - MIRROR PATTERNS & INTEGRATING SHAG INTO YOUR SOCIAL DANCING: Here we will incorporate your basics foundations and step it up a notch or two in this more challenging workshop.
AFTERNOON WORKSHOP COST: Register at the door. Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the workshops to check in and get your name tag. Payment Methods: Cash, check, Visa, Master Card, AmEx, Discover, Venmo, Debit at the door.
