Clothing & Shoes with Jupiter 2!

Raleigh native Indie Rock band Clothing & Shoes is coming to Slim’s August 2nd, 9-11pm, with Jupiter 2! 

Established in 2007, Clothing & Shoes blends the heartfelt melodies of Indie Rock with the expansive soundscapes of Post Rock. Influenced by artists like Death Cab for Cutie, Modest Mouse, Built to Spill, Mogwai, and Explosions in the Sky, the band’s sound captures both introspection and atmosphere. They gained recognition with a feature on WKNC 88.1, coverage in Indy Week magazine and touring venues like the legendary Knitting Factory in New York City. Though the band stepped back from live performances after 2009, Levi Christopher continued to write and release music, producing an impressive catalog of four full-length albums and eight EPs. In 2018, Ben Hunsinger reunited with Levi, contributing to several of the releases that followed. This renewed partnership infused fresh energy into the band’s sound and marked a significant chapter in their creative journey.  Now a focused two-piece band, Clothing & Shoes is preparing to return to live performances in 2025. Levi Christopher and Ben Hunsinger recorded their own drum samples to create original loops, layering new songs designed for the stage. They’ve also revisited and reimagined tracks from their early years, blending the old with the new to craft a setlist that showcases their evolution. With a rich history and a fresh perspective, Clothing & Shoes is ready to reconnect with audiences and bring their music back to life. Joining the show is Jupiter 2, composed of Nicholas Cirone and Ian Campbell. Their music can be described as starry-eyed psychedelic pop, all recorded and developed in Nick's home studio.
