Volunteers needed! Planting native garden in Clayton Park

The Root River Council was awarded two grants in the form of $1,700 worth of native perennials and milkweed. We need volunteers to help us install 200+ plants in Clayton Park, one of the parks along the Root River Pathway. The planting date is Saturday, May 24 starting at 10am. Rain date is Sunday, May 25. Anyone who is passionate about eliminating storm runoff, improving habitat for migrating Monarch butterflies, and enhancing Racine's hidden gem, the Root River Pathway should join us.

Please wear sturdy shoes and bring work gloves if you have them. We will supply shovels.
