The flashy girl from Flushing comes to the Racine Theatre Guild in “The Nanny: A Fine Parody” on Saturday, June 14 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 15 at 2 p.m.
Broadway producer Mr. Maxwell Sheffield has yet to find a person to fill the role of nanny for his three children, until Fran Fine shows up selling makeup at his door. Will Fran be the right fit? Her best friend, Val, and her mother, Sylvia, think so, but Fran isn’t so certain. She gets along with the butler, Niles, just fine… but it’s Mr. Sheffield’s business partner, C.C. Babcock, that Fran has to keep an eye on.
Fran can’t help but wonder why Mr. Sheffield hired her. Will she ever find her place within the Sheffield’s Manhattan mansion? Will C.C. express her undying devotion to Maxwell? And why does she have a sudden craving for pancakes and honey glazed ham?
