Legacy on the Lake: A Celebration of (Loretta) Life

As part of the day-long 5th Annual Lake Front Expo event, join us at the Racine Public Library as we celebrate the incredible legacy of Loretta Life—a trailblazer, literacy advocate, and the first Black librarian at the Racine Public Library. Loretta has dedicated her life to opening doors, inspiring generations, and championing the power of books and knowledge in our community.

Legacy on the Lake: A Celebration of (Loretta) Life is a free community gathering to uplift and honor a true hometown hero while she is here to receive her flowers. Let’s come together to share gratitude, stories, and joy in recognition of her lasting impact. All are welcome!

The 5th annual Lake Front Expo is co-sponsored by African American Chamber of Commerce, Racine Public Library, Racine County, Professional Women’s Network for Service and the NAACP Racine Branch Economic Development committee.
